Smoothie & Juice 101

Happy Friday! The sun is shining, it's going to be a beautiful day and we are excited for our organic friends to get their boxes today! Squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, grapes, melon, carrots, beets and lot's of other goodies are out for delivery right now! We can't wait to see what you get! Speaking of organic goodness, we are so excited to let our friend, Abigail Taft, local Cleveland nutritionist and healthy lifestyle blogger share some of her gorgeous juice & smoothie recipes with us today! If you're wondering the ins and outs of smoothies and juice, Abigail has written a 101 article talking health benefits of both, how to utilize both veggies and fruit in your smoothies and the secret veggie ingredient to getting a super thick smoothie. (spoiler alert// it's frozen cauliflower!) Here are a few of our favorite things she's been blending up! You can find her full recipes on her website, here.

Ingredients makes 1 smoothie 1 cup fresh spinach or kale 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (you can add more/less depending on your preferred consistency/thickness) 1-2 tbsp nut butter of choice (peanut butter is my favorite) 1/2- 3/4 cup frozen blueberries (can sub raspberries or strawberries) ½ - 1 cup frozen organic cauliflower (you can add more/less for desired consistency) Optional protein: Greek yogurt, chia seeds, plant-based protein powder, collagen powder + Optional toppings: shredded coconut, granola, nuts, bee pollen Directions Place all ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy immediately.

1 small frozen banana
½ tsp cinnamon
½ cup frozen organic cauliflower (you can add more/less for desired consistency)
Optional: Granola for topping!
Directions
Place all ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy immediately.
