Simple Chocolate Orange Strawberry Tart

Active time: 15 Min.

Total time: 35 Min.

Servings: 9

Ingredients:

1 container Perfectly Imperfect strawberries

4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature

⅓ cup chocolate hazelnut spread, like Nutella

Zest from 1 Perfectly Imperfect orange

1 sheet store-bought puff pastry, thawed and at room temperature

Powdered sugar, optional

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Hull the strawberries and cut into ¼-inch thick slices; set aside.

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and hazelnut spread together until smooth. Stir in the orange zest.

Unfold the puff pastry and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Gently stretch the sides into a 10x10 inch square. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides. Layer the sliced strawberries on top.

Crimp up the edges around the tart. Transfer pan to preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 22 minutes, or until crust is light golden brown.

Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares. Top with powdered sugar, if desired. Best served same day; can also be served cold. Refrigerate any leftovers.
